About Me

Dave Marvin is the Employing Broker and Owner of Marvin Gardens Real Estate.  Founded in 2015, Marvin Gardens represents years of careful planning, developing relationships and honing skills to be able to create a real estate and property management company that serves the public in their varied needs in residential real estate.  Dave has been a Licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 2008.  He specializes in residential real estate sales, purchases and investments, especially around the greater Longmont area, including Boulder where he also lived and worked for many years.  He is now proud to call the exciting, burgeoning city of Longmont his home and he always has an accurate handle on what is going on in the real estate world in Longmont and the surrounding towns.  He is a well connected member of the local community, loves working in Longmont, is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Longmont Association of Realtors and is a member of and the former chair of the Longmont Association of Realtors Independent Broker's Committee.

Dave has experience in many areas of residential real estate including foreclosures, short sales, re-hab listings, investment properties, 1031 Exchanges, condos/townhomes, rural property, vacant land, water rights, new builds, and more!  Much of Dave's professional background is in Property Management which is a challenging, but important piece of the housing puzzle that informs so much of Dave's overall housing knowledge base.  Nearly every Property Management deal that is completed is a "double sided" deal, so ethics and fairness are natural for Dave.  He has been part of a team that has managed as many as 850 properties and is currently proud to manage a small, boutique portfolio of fantastic rental properties in and around Longmont.

Dave is originally from the Buffalo, NY area, and is a 2004 Graduate of the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY with degrees in Music and Modern European History.  He has lived in Colorado since 2005 and is proud have called Longmont, CO home since 2008.  In 2020, Dave got married to the love of his life and moved to rural Longmont/Lyons.  Him and his wife Alison have a lovely hobby farm on 26 acres with 3 Colorado Mountain Dogs, a few dozen chickens, 1 cat and they house 3 mules as well!  Dave loves to camp with his wife in their teardrop trailer, backpack and trek, hike, golf, play racquetball, watch the night sky, play and listen to all kinds of music, and visit new and old favorite places around the country and the world.  He has been to all 50 US states, is proficient in Spanish and proudly supports local charities like H.O.P.E., The O.U.R. Center, Intercambio Uniting Communities, The Rooster Party and several others who's missions are close to his heart.
