Edison Parker
After 15 years in the restaurant industry, culminating in owning and operating his own mobile food cart (specializing in hand made dumplings), Edison put his knives away and began his next endeavor in commercial property management. Taking on an assistant management position for a string of commissary kitchens, Edison cut his teeth in commercial management for three years. He has now turned his attention toward residential property management, hanging his hat with Marvin Gardens in September 2023. Edison’s experience in the culinary and service world, his business expertise, and his years in two worlds of property management give him dexterity and ease in the realms of customer service, time management, and organization.
As the Director of Operations for Marvin Gardens, Edison handles many aspects of the business. While mostly serving as a liaison between tenants, owners, maintenance technicians, HOAs, and utility providers, he’s always thirsty to understand how each property ticks and how to best care for them; and he is certainly no stranger to jumping into a crawlspace to change a furnace filter or inspect a property. He also helps in implementing systems that keep Marvin Gardens running smoothly; taking the surprises, whenever reasonably possible, out of property management. But don’t let his desire for effectiveness and organization fool you; in a world that is becoming increasingly automated, Edison understands the need for empathy, the human element, and a balanced approach when helping to resolve the multitude of issues that face both homeowners and renters alike.
Born in Denver, CO and growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Edison returned to Boulder in 2007. After eight wonderful years, he and his family relocated to beautiful Longmont, and have called the booming town home since 2015. Edison is passionate about his community, frequenting local music and art events, restaurants, and enjoying all the city has to offer. Walking, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowboarding are a few of the ways he appreciates the amazing outdoor experiences in Colorado. Other hobbies include the fantastic world of miniatures & tabletop wargaming, reading and joining his monthly book club, “handyman” projects around the house, cooking (and eating), plus all the time he can get with his wife, daughter, and dachshund mix, Biggie Smalls. Edison is proud to call Longmont home, and hopes that through his work with the Marvin Gardens team he can help others find their own paradise in this ever expanding “little” city.
